SharePoint 2013 - single server installation
The prerequisites and the four phases of installing SharePoint 2013 on a single server.
You can download SharePoint 2013 from the Microsoft evaluation centre. It installs on Windows Server 2008 R2.
Prerequisites
- 64 bit Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
- 64 bit SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1
- A SQL Server service account
- A setup user account
- A server farm account

Installation phases
Installation is a four phase process.
- Install the prerequisites with
prerequisiteinstaller.exe. - Install the binaries.
- Run the Configuration Wizard to set up the configuration and content databases.
- Run the farm configuration to set up web applications, site collections and sites.
